Rubber roof as well as other single ply membranes are just that - single ply, meaning there is no other &quot;component&quot; of the roof systems to create second layer. There is usually insulation or a slip-sheet to separate the membrane from the substrate.

As far as covering the roof overnight - you are completely right. Yet, sometimes there is no other option but tarps. It all of course depends on the roof and the crew installing it.</description>
