My question is why would you want to install flat roofing membrane on a fairly sloped roof, when there are much better roofing materials for such job - standing seam metal roof, would be a great option (but somewhat costly because of a lot of extra work on hips) or metal roofing shingles, or even regular asphalt shingles if you are on a budget. In any case, this has been done many times - for example a gym complex at Brown University in Providence RI, or the main post office roof, also in Prov. However these roofs have a rounded shape - not straight hip roof.

Hi Julie,

If we were to install IB PVC roof on a 6/12 <a

Living in Australia PVC roofs have major fail rates, some to do with poor application but mostly to do with PVC loosing plasticizers and becoming brittle and cracking . You fail to mention the chlorides involved with PVC and the failure to be green star rated due to chlorides. As a membrane supplier in Australia we have closely followed and investigated the difference of these 2 products and there is absolutely no doubt which product is superior. You don't see TPO manufacturer's publicly degrading opposition with misinformed information for their own gain.

it make me laugh and shudder reading your misinformed information regarding TPO V PVC.
